Modern warfare is no longer confined to conventional explosives and artillery; it has evolved into a multi-dimensional battlefield involving Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. These threats pose unprecedented risks not only to armed forces but also to civilian populations and critical infrastructure. Conventional Portland cement concrete (PCC), though widely used for decades, is structurally and chemically vulnerable to such hostile environments. In this context, the development and deployment of CBRN-resistant concretes—particularly those based on geopolymeric binders with tailored additives—is a national necessity, bridging defense engineering with material science innovations.
